Education

Awareness raising and environmental education is fundamental to fulfilling the goal of this long term project and to perpetuate growth of the tree Green Bodhgaya uses the tree planting as a « window » on the world to increase community’s understanding of our environment and to develop personal ability to take responsible action on behalf of the nature.

Our educational goals are :

  • To develop community’s awareness, appreciation, skills, and commitment to address environmental issues.
  • To help locals to acquire an appreciation and tolerance of environmental issues and to develop attitudes and actions to preserve and resolve environmental problems.

  • To inspire and empower members of community to become responsible, productive, and participatory members of society.
  • To work in collaboration with Indian institution and organization such as the Centre for Environmental Education (CEE) and provide environmental education program for educators and their students.
